• Eric

  Eric Sappington is a singer, songwriter and visual artist. He is a self-taught musician that plays 6- and 12-string guitars and harmonica. He has written and performed his own music for over 25 years - creating over 500 original compositions in various musical styles. He is the band leader and creative force behind MERCURY COAST. Eric's visual art can be found on Instagram at ericsappingtonart.
• Molly

  Missouri-native Molly Sappington has called the Oregon Coast home now for over 25 years. She has been singing and performing her entire life in various choirs, music groups and theatres. Molly has over 10 years experience as an early childhood music specialist, and is currently an elementary music teacher. She has specialized training in World Music, and teaches drumming and marimba.
• Steve

  Steve is an upright bass player with a deep love for music that's been shaped by a family legacy. Growing up with his father, a fellow bassist, Steve was surrounded by the sounds of music from a young age, which sparked his lifelong passion for the instrument. As a member of Mercury Coast, Steve plays with a focus on the song, offering steady, grounding basslines that help bring the band's original folk-rock sound to life. The band's music blends a mix of heartfelt storytelling and organic rhythm, with Steve's bass providing a subtle yet essential layer that supports the group's unique style. While Steve doesn't seek the spotlight, his contributions to Mercury Coast are integral to the band's sound and spirit. Whether performing on stage or recording in the studio, Steve remains focused on creating music that's honest, grounded, and deeply connected to the roots of folk and rock traditions.
• Ebon

  Ebon is a multi-instrumentalist, singer/songwriter, and producer. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, he has been a lifelong musician, playing in a multitude of projects over the years. You can find some of his guitar work and horn arrangement on Jarrod Lawson's self-titled debut album, which went number one on the UK soul charts in 2014. You can also find him on the EP titled Scatterbrain (2019), which is co-written and produced by which he goes by the pseudonym MisterE.
